Rosette Valentine

lg front

I love making these Rosettes or Lollies as some call them. I have the Stampin’ Up! die that cuts them for me, but I did this one with my Simply Scored. Since not all of my stamp club ladies have the die I wanted them to be able to make them at home. I put a 12 X 12″ piece of DSP in my Simply Scored and scored at 1/2″ increments all the way across. Then I cut the DSP at 1 1/2″ strips. It took no time at all! I used 2 pieces end to end for each Rosette. The Simply Scored is a WONDERFUL tool!

Isn’t this glimmer paper beautiful?! I thought this would be a good card for a man. It has that masculine look to it.

side

This Rosette was made using the Modern Medley DSP. I think this is my favorite DSP in the Annual Catalog. However, there are a couple of the designs that I am not fond of and would go unused. This was the perfect way to use up these sheets.

inside

I finished off the inside of the card with another heart punch with the glimmer paper. Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine/May Basket

This is another project we made in my January class. And another big hit with the ladies. Directions are included below.

It’s a very quick and easy project but looks so impressive. I used the new tag punch from the Celebration catalog. LOVE this punch!

Wouldn’t this make a cute May basket to leave on a neighbor or loved ones door?

It’s the perfect size to add some small goodies and a note.

Directions: cut 2 hearts (I used Spellbinders largest scalloped heart) Cut 1 piece of card stock 6 1/2″ x 2″ & place the 6 1/2″ side at the top of your score tool. Score at 3 1/4″ turn and place the 2″ side at the top & score at 1/2″ on both sides. Cut out a “V” on both sides at the center score as pictured. Fold score lines and assemble your box. If you have any questions, let me know.

I LOVE VALENTINE’S DAY!!!  It’s my favorite holiday of the year with Christmas coming in a very close second. I love pink! I love red! And I love hearts!

This card looked intimidating but was actually very easy. There are several videos on YouTube. The one that I found easiest for me was this one by thestampcamp: http://youtu.be/r0pLAEBKFC8

We made these at my monthly stamping class and they were a winner with everyone. Give it a try. Let me know what you think!
