I can’t remember where I got the inspiration for these cards. Probably on Pinterest. (: I love the simplicity and that it uses lots of my favorite tools… punches!

Best of 25 Years Stamp set –  Best of Halloween

As part of our 25-year anniversary celebration, we’re bringing back some of our favorite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 12 sets, which will release-one set per month-during 2013. Even better, along with some great classic images, each “Best of” set will also include a never-before-seen image! Check back here every month to download a flyer for a new Best of stamp set.

Some things to remember:

  • All Best of stamp sets will include 3-5 images, including a never-before seen image, and will be priced at $14.95.
  • While we are releasing just one Best of stamp set per month (with a new theme each month), all of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.
  • A new flyer will be released every month for each new Best of set.
  • All Best of stamp sets are available in Clear-Mount only.
  • While we are releasing just one Best of stamp set per month, all of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.

As a special incentive to collect the Best of stamps, we’re including a collector’s card and 25-year proof of purchase sticker with every Best of set. Collect six stickers, and send it in to redeem a FREE set of your choice valued up to $14.95! Free sets must be redeemed no later than April 30, 2014.

Small Purses

image
I saw a video on YouTube from France Martin making these cute little bags and just had to try it. I used retired Stampin’ Up! DSP and card stock. A good project for using some of that up. These would be so cute for a Mother Daughter Banquet. If I make a few each month I could be way ahead of the game. I hate being asked at the last minute and then working like crazy to get it done. They are quite easy and fun to make. I used thin Velcro as the closure.

A small candy bar fits perfect in the bottom. I found that if I placed a second one on top sideways it doesn’t distort the purse at all. Since these were made specifically for friends, I wanted 2 in each bag.

One thing that I just love about these is that they store flat! Very convenient for making ahead. Here is the link to the video. Have fun! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxvzYgzRFFM

Card Gift Set

image This set was so fun to make. It took some time but was worth it. I used Crisp Cantaloupe card stock, Venetian Romance DSP and Very Vanilla. The bow on the front of the box was my first attempt and I can see that I need some practice. (: Better yet, I need to purchase the new “Gift Bow Bigz L Die” in the Holiday catalog. It’s on my wish list! Stamp sets that I used are Sweetly Framed, Six Sided Sampler & Label Something.

I’m always happy when I get to use my punches and used several of them on this project. I know from past post comments that you like to have tutorials. So, I’m being more careful to make a note of where I get my inspiration. If you want to try this cute gift set, you can find a wonderful tutorial here: http://stampingpro.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/strengthhopecardcarrier.pdf
Please share your creations with me! I’d love to see them.

Brandy’s Color Challenge #8

image
The colors for this weeks challenge were, Elegant Eggplant, Smoky Slate & Summer Starfruit. For this card I recycled the rubber that is left over after assembling my stamps. I cut some squares, inked them up, then stamped off about 3 times before stamping onto my card stock. The flowers were made using the Boho Blossoms punch & the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.

The center medallion on this card was made using the faux metal technique & Delicate Doilies stamp set. After making the medallion, I rubbed Elegant Eggplant ink onto it and then wiped off the excess.

Thanks for stopping by!
