Stampin’ Up! Clutch/Purse with Note Cards

I love this purse! It only takes one sheet of 12 X 12″ Designer Series Paper. What a wonderful gift for someone and it’s a great way to use up some of those sheets of pretty paper that I’ve been hoarding!   🙂

back-to-black-clutch

This purse was made using a retired Stampin’ Up! DSP called Back to Black. A great way to use up those retired papers!

I kept the outside simple, yet elegant, using the Flower Medallion punch and a flower from the Flourishing Thinlits. The Metal Rimmed Pearls add the touch of class.

Inside are four matching note cards with envelopes. I’m sure that you could do 6 cards and envelopes if you wanted to. I used magnet snaps from Basic Grey (available at Amazon) for the closure.

Here is another version I made using the Floral Boutique Designer Series paper.  I love this one too.

I used velcro as the closure on this purse but with the note cards, it wouldn’t stay shut. That’s why I switched to the magnets.

Bag in a Box Purse/Tote

hellolg

These adorable little purses have been all over the internet this past month.  So, I jumped on the bandwagon. Since I love to make boxes and bags this was a perfect project for me.

graypurse

This was my first one. I used Basic Gray in the new Stampin’ Up! Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack (available to order on June 2nd). I paired it with Basic Black card stock and and added Antique Brads.

typurse

I made 6 4″X4″ cards to go inside. I used the same paper stack as I did on the purse, on the card fronts, just switching up the patterns.

grayset1

I love the new paper stack patterns.

bluepurse   pinkpurse

I made a couple more with paper some of the retiring paper stacks. Pool Party with Island Indigo on the left, and Pink Pirouette with Melon Mambo on the right.

graypurse

Pink is my very favorite color but I have to say that the Basic Gray one is my favorite of these 3.

Cubed Box with Lid

lgbox

This cute little box was inspired from YouTube!

blackboxtrio

The ribbon is actually attached to just the lid. So, the lid slips on and off without having to untie the pretty bow. All 3 of these boxes were made with the Back To Black DSP from Stampin’ Up!

Box & Matching Cards

boxlg

boxwlid

I saw a box similar to this one on Pinterest. There were no directions. And I liked it so much that I decided to go to my craft room & figure out the dimensions. This is what I came up with. It holds 6, 3″X3″ cards and envelopes.

March Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project

baglg

My March Paper Pumpkin kit arrived!

???????????????????????????????

These kits get better every month. And the stamp sets that come with them are super! This months Paper Pumpkin kit was intended to make cards but I decided to change it up a bit. Here’s what I came up with.

bagstripe

You can’t really tell from the picture but this is a treat bag/box. The card stock in the kit is so nice. Easily strong enough to make a box.

bagmelon

With this one I used my favorite Melon Mambo which really pops against the black.

bagburmuda

bag3

To make these bags, I placed the pre-scored card onto my Simply Scored and scored 1/4″ on each side of the pre-scored line. Then I turned it and scored each side 1/2″. I cut up to the score marks on the small squares in the center, ignoring the pre-scored line. Added adhesive and brought the sides together. Very simple and quick! The stamped images are all from the stamps that were included in the kit (except for the small flower on the Melon Mambo one).

Thanks for stopping by! If you would like to try Paper Pumpkin for yourself, it’s easy to sign up. Just click on the best choice for you below.  If you order a 3 month subscription by March 31, 2015 you can also get a FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog PLUS you get $5.00 off the cost!  Feel free to contact me with any questions!

Stay Closed Box

boxlg

Today’s post is a fun stay closed faceted box that I saw on Pinterest.

box2

For this one, I used Melon Mambo card stock for the base of the box. And I embossed the Whisper White for layering on top. I like that the box is a unique shape. To open the box you just pinch in the sides. So clever!

box1

This box was made with Bermuda Bay card stock, layered with Best Day Ever DSP (free with a $50 order from Stampin’ Up! until March 31, 2015). The larger butterfly was cut from Coastal Cabana card stock.

box3

The card stock for the base of this box is Daffodil Delight. I was thinking of Spring when I chose the paper and colors. The DSP is also from the Best Day Ever DSP pack. The Ribbon and buttons is another item you can choose for free from the Sale-A-Bration catalog with a $50 order until March 31, 2015.

boxtrio

To add the layers onto the box base I cut a 3 3/4″ square, folded it in half without creasing it and just pinched the top. Then I put it in my trimmer and cut from the center mark to the corner on both sides.  To make one of these cute boxes for yourself you can see the video here: Stay Closed Box

I saw this box design on Pinterest and had to try my hand at it.  Yes, I used Something Borrowed DSP. (Again.)  🙂

boxblack   2box

Here is a version using the Back to Black DSP. I think that they both look elegant.

Card With Matching Box

lg flower

I know, you probably expected a Valentine’s card. But this card could also be made with the Sweet Heart Punch instead of the Pansy Punch!

red cardOn this card I used the new “Something Borrowed Embellishments” in the Occasions catalog. I LOVE bling! And these embellishments add just the right touch.  The designer paper is also from the Occasions catalog and is called “Stacked with Love.”  The card measures 3 1/4″ by 5 1/2″.

inside

I like to make the inside special too. I’m thinking this would be a card for any occasion but would make a really pretty Mother’s Day card.

box

And how cute to have a small matching box to add a treat. These boxes are just 2″x 2″ x 2″ and are also in the Occasions catalog and you get 25 of them for just $6.95! Did you notice the box on top?! Another of my favorite items in the Occasions catalog! Stampin’ Up! has really stepped up with some awesome items for this catalog. The bow is made from a punch! Yes, a punch!  And it goes together so quick and easy too. I love it!
