Fancy Z Fold Card

lg lovely

lg costal

I love this card! (I cased it from Pinterest.) The colors I used are Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, & Daffodil Delight. It is such a “springtime” card that I couldn’t help but smile when it was finished. I long for Spring to arrive! We are still having very cold temperatures and even snow. Ugh! I call this a Z Fold Card with a twist because it angles at the top and I also angled it at the bottom. The belly band holds it closed and adds a nice touch to the card.

This is a Strawberry Slush version. I will be so sad when these “In Colors” are retired. But I do have another year with them!

Sweet Sorbet Thank You

lg dsp
I had my first workshop last Thursday and it was a huge success!

I wanted to thank everyone that placed an order. So, I made these 3×3″ cards to put in each order.  I love this DSP!  And I can’t believe that you can get it free! (With a $ 50 purchase from Stampin’ Up!)

I’m also loving this Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch from the Occasions catalog. I find  myself reaching for them all the time (as you can see in previous posts). If you want to order any of these supplies you can find them in my store here.

Petite Petals

lgstr

I love the new Petite Petals punch and stamp set from Stampin’ Up!.

I wanted to make some quick easy cards that I could do as a “make & take” at an upcoming workshop. So, I started playing and I had way too much fun! This card is just a simple layer that I stamped on and punched out the Petite Petals to layer on top.

With this card I just added a second layer of Pink Pirouette onto the Strawberry Slush card stock. But kept the stamping the same.

With this card I got a little more fancy with the cutting of the top of the card. I got the inspiration for this one from Dawn Griffith. I just switched up the colors. But it still was quite quick and very easy to do.

lgblu

I decided to switch colors and do no layering.

This is what was I got. I stamped some of the flowers without re-inking the stamp. This was by far the easiest to do. And as you can see, I just had to layer a few of the petite petals on.  Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions let me know. If you’d like to order supplies you can go to my store here.

Brooch Card

lgbrooch

This card was cased from Brandy Cox.

After making my first brooch, I went out and bought a bunch of different colors of felt. This will be one of our projects at my next Stamping class. I was very surprised at how easily this all went together. The felt cuts like butter in the Big Shot! I was able to cut several layers at a time. Wouldn’t this make a nice gift for a Mother/Daughter Banquet?

This card is so much prettier in person. The colors compliment each other so nicely. If you’d like to make one, you can get the directions at Brandy’s Cards

Crisp Cantaloupe and Sweet Sorbet

lg lovely

I absolute love this new DSP from Stampin’ Up!!! It’s called Sweet Sorbet and anyone can get it free in the celebration catalog just for placing a $50.00 order. This special is good through March 31, 2014!

lglovely

I used the Petite Petals punch available now in the Occasions catalog along with the labels framelits. I also used one of the free stamp sets that you can get in the celebration catalog called “You’re Lovely.”

lgpray

I need a couple of get well cards so I used the same design but changed the sentiment. The embossing folder that I used is “Scallops” and is also available in the Occasions catalog.

Easel Card with Drawer & Gift Box

lgeasel

I have seen so many Easel Cards with Drawers and they were so pretty. But I had never attempted one until about a week ago. What made me want to finally try one was that Elaine Jackson came up with one and she made a box for it to fit in.

easelwbox

What a cool way to give one to someone special! Elaine made it just right so that there is room for embellishments too. I chose Raspberry Ripple as my colors. I love this “In Color” and I’m going to be sad to see it leave in June.

This was a fun project. I am in the process of making another one using Pink Pirouette and Raspberry Ripple together. I love this color combination. I will post it when I get it done. This box will be given as a hostess thank you. I’m going to put post it notes in the drawer. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day! Click here for a link to Elaine’s video.
