Monster Card

lgmonster

A quick post today………

monstercard

This cute card was super easy and fun to make. And who doesn’t like googly eyes!?

monsterinside

The inside of the card is decorated too. As I was making this card, it reminded me of the movie, Monsters Inc. 🙂

Vellum Flowers

lgtheresyou

This is a quick post today. I wanted to showcase this card while the Pansy punch is still on sale with the “weekly deals.” I got my inspiration from Pinterest.  I stamped the flower onto vellum with Versa Mark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I then colored the flowers on the backside of the vellum with markers and punched them out. I mounted the flowers with dimensionals in the center of the flowers. I colored a piece of vellum with the Coastal Cabana marker and then cut the butterfly out with the Butterfly Wings embosslit.

Thanks for stopping by! I will post another card using this stamp set and punch in just a couple of days. Don’t forget, the Pansy punch is on sale until Monday, April 20, 2015. See a list of supplies below. If you’d like to order any of the items just click on it below. Have a great day!

Sketch #4

Another fun card sketch for the Glitter Queens!

This was the first card I made using the sketch. This DSP is beautiful.

After I made the first one I decided to switch the colors around. Not sure which one I like best………. 🙂

Card With Matching Box

lg flower

I know, you probably expected a Valentine’s card. But this card could also be made with the Sweet Heart Punch instead of the Pansy Punch!

red cardOn this card I used the new “Something Borrowed Embellishments” in the Occasions catalog. I LOVE bling! And these embellishments add just the right touch.  The designer paper is also from the Occasions catalog and is called “Stacked with Love.”  The card measures 3 1/4″ by 5 1/2″.

inside

I like to make the inside special too. I’m thinking this would be a card for any occasion but would make a really pretty Mother’s Day card.

box

And how cute to have a small matching box to add a treat. These boxes are just 2″x 2″ x 2″ and are also in the Occasions catalog and you get 25 of them for just $6.95! Did you notice the box on top?! Another of my favorite items in the Occasions catalog! Stampin’ Up! has really stepped up with some awesome items for this catalog. The bow is made from a punch! Yes, a punch!  And it goes together so quick and easy too. I love it!

Crazy About You

This card was inspired by Dawn Griffith! She is awesome!

flower card

This “Crazy About You,” stamp set has 33 stamps in it! The central flowers and the “happy birthday,” are just a couple of them. The set comes with 3 images and 30 words that you can mix and match. The colors I used here are Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral.

The colors on this card are Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana. The background paper is from the sale-a-bration catalog. It has a resist pattern on it that can be colored any color you need it to be. Very fun!

Foget Me Nots?

lg blue

This card reminds me of Forget Me Not flowers.
blue flower card

This was inspired by Connie Stewart. I love the blue! She also did a Christmas version that I love. A simple yet pretty card that can be made in just minutes with only a few supplies.

I added the blue scallops at the side just to change it up a bit.

Two Cases One Card

lg flower

Wow! I can’t believe it’s been 2 months since I last posted! In July I was getting ready for the Stampin’ Up! convention. And then afterwards, I was getting caught up.  I didn’t take a break from my stamping or classes but just didn’t find the time to keep my blog updated. I am going to try to do better now that things are settled down.  This card that I’m posting today was inspired by 2 cards that I saw on Pinterest.  I incorporated elements from both cards into just one.

card

I really like the results. This card could be used for any occasion. We will be making this card in my September classes at the Dowling Library. It’s already on display there and I have gotten several compliments on it. In fact, my Monday night class filled up the first day! I used Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock. Crumb cake ink pad, the small flower from the “Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, 7/8” Scallop Circle punch, Postage Stamp punch, Fun Flower punch and “Bloom for You” stamp (Also added some pearls and ribbon).

Easel Card Meets Box in a Card

lgflower

At the beginning of March I posted an Easel Card that I’d made. Well, now I want to share the Box in a Card that I made.

sidebyside

Instead of being a card on top of a box, it’s a box inside a card. I didn’t come up with this idea but thought it was genius! The credit for the box pattern goes to Elaine Jackson.

box

This is the card closed. I used the DSP, Sweet Sorbet from Stampin’ Up!.

openbox

And this is the card opened with the box top off. I don’t have a picture of the finished card but where the card lifts up I stamped happy birthday and punched it out and layered it there. I signed our names on the binding just under the Happy Birthday.

boxtop

This is a top view. I love how Stampin’ Up! makes their punches and stamps to fit together.

The pattern for this box can be here. Thanks for stopping by.

Fancy Z Fold Card

lg lovely

lg costal

I love this card! (I cased it from Pinterest.) The colors I used are Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, & Daffodil Delight. It is such a “springtime” card that I couldn’t help but smile when it was finished. I long for Spring to arrive! We are still having very cold temperatures and even snow. Ugh! I call this a Z Fold Card with a twist because it angles at the top and I also angled it at the bottom. The belly band holds it closed and adds a nice touch to the card.

This is a Strawberry Slush version. I will be so sad when these “In Colors” are retired. But I do have another year with them!

Sweet Sorbet Thank You

lg dsp
I had my first workshop last Thursday and it was a huge success!

lg single

I wanted to thank everyone that placed an order. So, I made these 3×3″ cards to put in each order.  I love this DSP!  And I can’t believe that you can get it free! (With a $ 50 purchase from Stampin’ Up!)

duo

I’m also loving this Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch from the Occasions catalog. I find  myself reaching for them all the time (as you can see in previous posts). If you want to order any of these supplies you can find them in my store here.
